Drochia residents to have access to quality drinking water

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- In Drochia, the rehabilitation and extension works of the water supply system are underway, carried out under a project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (RDA) and financed by the European Union. The specialists of the institution monitored the project yesterday and found that the works are carried out in accordance with the time schedule.

European Union-funded construction and assembly works include infrastructure measures such as the rehabilitation and extension of 3.6 km of raw water supply, 3.2 km of water supply, 17.3 km of distribution networks, the rehabilitation of five wells and of the existing water tanks on the territory of the purification station, of the pumping station, where two pumping groups will be installed etc.

The project started in early November 2020 and is to be executed by late 2021. The value of the enterprise contract is 82.87 million lei, of which 5.64 million lei is co-financed by Drochia city hall and 500 thousand lei - Drochia district council.

The investment measure Improving water supply services in Drochia, carried out by ADR North, is funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova, implemented by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
