Roadmen intervene on road segments following today's snowfal in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The territorial units of the Drumuri (Roads) stock company today carried out operative interventions on national roads to combat the glazed frost, in the regions where roadmen’s involved was necessary. The actions were taken, after snowfall had been registered all over Moldova and  the roadway became wet and slippery, the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has reported.    

The technological process was carried out with the use of 51 special vehicles and involvement of 74 road workers in the districts of Falesti, Cantemir, Leova, Briceni, Ocnita, Nisporeni, Rezina, Glodeni, Rascani, Floresti, Soroca, Soldanesti, Straseni and Ungheni. ‘’Presently, the road traffic is carried out in safety conditions on the national roads; the works of patrol and combating the glazed frost continue,’’ ASD said.   

The roads’ managers permanently monitor all dangerous road segments, so that any difficulty which appeared in traffic is quickly settled.

According to meteorologists, the air temperature will rise to +10 Celsius degrees during the day and will drop to -4 degrees at night. Rains are forecast especially for the southern regions.
