South Moldova district's authorities introduce more restrictions on Red Code of alert

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The district extraordinary public health commission (CRESP) from the southern Cahul district maintains Red Code of alert in this settlement till 26 March and ruled on more restrictive measures and interdictions at a today’s meeting.

According to CRESP Cahul, on 12-26 March, the following things are banned: presence in open public places in groups larger than three persons, except for the family members; organization of mass rallies, including the political, cultural, scientific, artistic, sports or entertainment activities; presence in public spaces, without need between 22:00 and 7:00; non-essential visits to public interest units (banks, post office, etc.)    

Also, the work of the public transport is ceased in the Cahul municipality on Saturdays and Sundays on the period 12-26 March.

At the same time, the local authorities established a joint patrol made up of representatives of the Cahul Police Inspectorate, National Patrol Inspectorate, General Inspectorate of Carabineers, which will daily monitor the city’s streets and the district’s settlements, in order to verify the measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection.  

The emergency state in the public health sector was extended in Moldova till 15 April 2021, with possibility of its revision, under the decision by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP).     

At the same time, CNESP instructed that the territorial extraordinary public health commissions will ensure the implementation of more restrictive measures necessary to prevent the COVID-19 infection, at the level of the administrative area managed, where the Red Code of alert is established.
