United Arab Emirates donate vaccine for anti-COVID-19 immunization to Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 2,000 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, produced by the Sinopharm company, as a response to a call by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi addressed to Sheikh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of UAE Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
Acting PM Aureliu Ciocoi conveyed the appreciation of the Moldovan government for the solidarity gesture of Abu Dhabi, noting that the arrival of the consignment of vaccines reconfirmed the relations of friendship and good cooperation enjoyed by Moldova and the United Arab Emirates.
Moldova’ cabinet will continue carrying out the strategic goal of ensuring the access to anrti-COVID-19 vaccines through the promotion of an active dialogue with the foreign partners on the bilateral line.
Specialists in immunization and the authorities in charge of the management of the campaign of vaccination against COVID-19 in Moldova will decide on the use of the aforementioned consignment, in accordance with the international and national recommendations, through the supply and administration in due time of the safe and efficient vaccines to Moldova’s residents, under the provisions of the National Plan of Immunization against COVID-19 and the normative framework in force.
The reception of the donation will be made by the National Public Health Agency and the consignment will be transferred to the national deposit of vaccines, to ensure the preservation in line with the vaccine’s instruction.
