Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) urges Moldova’s citizens to avoid agglomerations and be present in public areas only in urgent needs, taking into account the enhancement the of the danger of infection with the new-type coronavirus. On 11 March, an anti-record of 1,896 cases of infection was recorded and 1,785 new cases – today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Given that we are on the eve of days off, we recommend that the citizens abstain from the organization of parties and feasts in family, by inviting guests, as well as avoid the participation in dinners organized in the professional environment.
These dinners are most often reported as the reason for infection, according to an epidemiological study recently made at the Pasteur Institute, in partnership with the French National Health Insurances Fund, which shows that most infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus occur in the family environment – 63 per cent. They are followed by travels abroad with a high contamination risk (53 per cent).
At the same time, we reiterate the importance that the citizens observe the essential epidemiological measures: wearing the protection mask, physical distance of 1 metre and hygienization of hands.
Dear citizen, we ask you to take care of your health and the one of the people by your side. We will be able to overcome the pandemic and its consequences only together, with care for each other.
