Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Cantemir district will have by late 2021 a tourist guide. This will be possible under the project Escapeland - Joint development and promotion of active tourism in the Black Sea basin, supported by local authorities.
During a meeting, recently held at the Cantemir district council, the action plan for the elaboration of the guide and the steps to be taken for the implementation of the information supplement on tourist places in the district was presented, which will be completed, expanded and developed.
“Starting with April, the project team will travel in the field, will collect information from rural localities and will publish an informative material about the objectives and tourist potential of the district. The activity period on the elaboration of the Tourist Guide will last until December 2021 ”, project coordinator Victoria Isac said.
Cantemir district is a beautiful district with a potential still untapped from a tourist point of view. "Rural localities in the south of the country and still unknown legends from the Prut river meadow can become an attraction for tourists, only they need to be presented and promoted through a Tourist Guide and a map," said Victoria Isac.
The project was launched in August 2020.
The project partners are four countries: Romania (Galati and Constanta), Ukraine (Vilkovo), Georgia (Kutaisi) and Moldova (Cantemir). The aim of the project is to develop cross-border cooperation and promote partnerships between countries located near the Black Sea basin, with the intention of responding to the needs of development and promotion of cross-border tourism and cultural entrepreneurship.
