Moldovan government appoints more state secretaries to office

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The acting cabinet, at a today’s meeting, approved the candidates of Igor Curov, Denis Cernelea and Vasile Cusca for the office of state secretaries of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry.
Also today, Alexandru Plesca and Tatiana Tverdun were appointed to office of state secretaries at the Justice Ministry.
According to acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, it is about professionals, system people, who have nothing in common with the political sphere. Ciocoi said they had been nominated according to criteria of competence and would be able to manage the aforementioned sectors in situation quite difficult pandemic crisis.
At a meeting on 4 March, the Constitutional Court magistrate admitted that an acting government can appoint or put forward people to public offices, other but the one of minister.
On 13 March, after a meeting of the Supreme Security Council, President Maia Sandu recommended the urgent appointment of state secretaries at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, as the pandemic situation ‘’becomes more and more serious’’ in Moldova.
