Meteorologists inform about Yellow Code of complicated weather conditions

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has informed about Yellow Code of complicated weather conditions for 16-18 March.

According to meteorologists, a southern cyclone starting as of 16 till 18 March will bring precipitation, preponderantly rains, switching to sleet, heavy ones in more regions (15-49 litres/square metre).

„The north-eastern wind will gust to 15-20 metres/second,’’ SHS said.

On the concerned period, the day-time air temperatures will not exceed +10 Celsius degrees and the night-time ones will drop to -2 degree.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous; the meteorological phenomena forecast are usual for Moldova’s territory; yet, they may temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
