Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had an online discussion with President of Slovenia Borut Pahor.
According to the presidential press service, the two heads of state exchanged information on the pandemic situation in both countries. At the same time, they voiced hope that, once the sanitary crisis is overcome, the two countries would manage to boost the bilateral relations and extend the cooperation sectors.
„My Slovenian counterpart assured me that his country would further back Moldova in our approach of rapprochement with the European Union and of ensuring the European living standards for the citizens. He will do this both at the bilateral level and within the European Union, as Slovenia will be the country to hold the EU Presidency in the second half of this year,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
In the context, the head of state reiterated the country’s interest in the development of the Moldova-Slovenia relations, especially in the economic field.
