Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a discussion with Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo. The head of state reiterated the Presidency’s willingness to attract foreign resources to help Moldova investigate the big files on corruption and bank fraud, the presidential press service has reported.
Also, Maia Sandu suggested to Alexandr Stoianoglo to accept the possibility of the involvement of a European specialized institute for the recovery of assets lost by Moldova in the wake of corruption schemes and embezzlement.
„The concerned institution expressed willingness to help Moldova, if there is such a request on behalf of the Prosecutor’s Office. I will continue persuading the international partners to provide us with assistance to investigate the financial crimes and return the money to the country,’’ the head of state said.
