Moldovan speaker, cabinet members convened in meeting to combat pandemic

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii and acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and other cabinet members convened in a meeting yesterday evening on combating COVID-19 pandemic, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

They approached steps due to be taken to stop the negative pandemic trend, in the context of rapid growth in the number of infected people and deaths, the measures to be proposed at the next meeting of the National Public Health Commission (CNESP).

The officials examined the possibilities to supply the country's medical system with anticoronavirus vaccines, in a volume necessary for the launch of the mass immunization process, once entry into force of amendments to the Law on setting up measures during the state of emergency in health and laws enabling the possibility to simplify the purchase of vaccines, with the derogation from the Law on public procurement.
