Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/- The mission of validation of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program in Moldova shall continue to work on 15-18 March. The validation group, composed of representatives of CEFTA (Central European Free Trade Agreement) parties, with the support of observers from the European Commission and EU member states will assess the legal framework, eligibility criteria and functionality of AEO program for mutual recognition with CEFTA parties.
Mutual recognition is a key element that enhances security throughout the supply chain and facilitates trade, as well as multiplies the benefits for businesses.
"The AEO Statute offers the holder a number of benefits, such as simplification of customs procedures, reducing the number of checks or priority border crossing for which a separate runway has been created for the holders of this authorization. The other facilities include the possibility to choose the place of carrying out the controls and postpone the customs payments for a period of up to 30 days ”, the Customs Service said.
The AEO Program was implemented in our country in 2014, and currently 115 economic agents benefit from the facilities and simplifications offered by the AEO Program.
