Moldovan farmers can apply for diesel from aid of Romania

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment announces that from 16 March until 5 April the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) will receive requests for external humanitarian support in the form of diesel given by Romania for Moldovan farmers affected by last year's drought.

The aid is granted to cover part of the costs incurred by agricultural producers in maintaining autumn sowing and to ensure that spring work is carried out.

When calculating the amount of diesel, eligible per beneficiary, several indicators and coefficients are taken as a basis: phytotechnical crops, affected areas, category of degree of damage, size of agricultural land managed by producers, to which coefficients in favor of smaller producers are applied.

The application for calculation and granting of the aid and copies of the documents required for the granting of aid shall be submitted by the applicant or his legal representative to the territorial subdivision of AIPA within the territorial area in which the applicant operates.
