Moldovan university professor, psychologist celebrates 65th birth anniversary

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/- University professor and psychologist Mihai Șleahtițchi, PhD in social psychology, pedagogy turned 65 today.
He was born on 17 March 1956 in Târnova village, Dondușeni district. In 1979, he graduated from the State University A. Russo in Bălți, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
He has completed various internships in Egypt, France, Germany, Romania, Russia and other countries.
He was dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the State University A. Russo in Bălți (1992-1994), head of the Department of General Pedagogy (1990-1994), head of the Department of Law (1998-1999), head of the Department of Socio-Legal and Humanities (1999-2005).
Mihai Șleahtițchi worked in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova as a lawmaker, secretary, then chairman of the Commission on Culture, Education, Research, Youth, Sports and Media (2009-2011).
In 2011-2012 he was Minister of Education. In 2012-2019 he was an advisor to the Moldovan president in culture, education and science.
He has published three monographs, seven coordinated academic volumes, seven dictionaries and about 200 scientific studies and articles.
In 2016, he was awarded the Honored Man title.
