Moldova ranks 28th in the world in terms of number of deaths triggered by COVID-19

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova ranks 28th according to the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 globally. The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry has made statements to this effect.
According to the ministry, Moldova is on the 22th position in Europe.
Statistics data shows that the number of people dead of COVID-19 has significantly increased on the last period, reaching 4,402 persons.
Specialists remind to citizens that the best way of protection from COVID-19 is the vaccination. As many as 16,131 people have been immunized against the new-type coronavirus in Moldova so far.
