Moldovan president meets EBRD head

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/- The current situation in Moldova, with a focus on political, economic, health and justice issues was discussed on Wednesday afternoon by President Maia Sandu and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso, the presidential press service has reported.
"The EBRD leadership said that justice reform, recovery of the banking sector and investment climate are key elements for the successful implementation of joint projects," said Maia Sandu.
The head of state assured the EBRD team that independent justice is a priority of presidential term. "At the same time, I thanked the EBRD for the projects we have carried out in recent years, with the support of the Bank for the modernization of our country and I have expressed my desire to expand cooperation. Thus, in addition to the ongoing programs, more infrastructure projects, energy efficiency, development of SMEs or various start-ups for young people and diaspora are needed ", Maia Sandu said.
