More settlements from north-western Moldova district to be supplied with water from Prut river

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - The works of the project on the supply of the Glodeni district with water from the Prut river are carried out in line with the schedule of implementation. This is the conclusion reached by specialists of the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), who went to the territory on 17 March.
"The monitoring team went to the construction site of the water treatment station, placed on the area of the Balatina village, in order to collect facts as to the carrying out of he works within the project. Subsequently, decision-makers verified the feeding segments under assembling. As a result, it was ascertained that the process of the project’s implementation takes places according to the norms,’’ ADR Nord said.
The construction and assembling works started in early November 2020. The following units will be assembled within this project: an intake/pumping station, a treatment station and a tower in the Tomestii Noi village; assembling works of 9.366 km of networks (between the pumping and treatment station) will be carried out; 10.7133 km of feeding from the treatment station to the villages Cuhnesti, Balatina, Tomestii Noi; 2.33 km of gravity sewer pipes, from the treatment station to the Caldarusa river.
The overall cost of the project, requested from sources of the National Regional Development Fund (FNDR), is 38.96 million lei. Last year, 19.29 million lei was turned to good account. The National Council of Coordination of the Regional Development in last January approved the allocation of 19.67 million lei for the works due to be carried out till late 2021.
The partners within the project on the construction of water supply systems in ten settlements from the Prut river meadow, Glodeni district, Stage I – Cuhnesti and Balatina communes are the Cuhnesti commune mayoralty (villages of Cuhnesti, Bisericani, Cot, Movileni, Serghieni) and the Balatina commune mayoralty (villages of Balatina, Clococenii Vechi, Lipovat, Tomestii Noi and Tomestii Vechi).
