About 100,000 doses of COVID vaccine to reach Moldova by late March

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu announced today that a batch of vaccines will arrive in the country through COVAX, and in total by late March 46 thousand doses of vaccine will arrive through the same platform. Also, by the end of the month, Chisinau will receive another 50,000 doses from the donation offered by Romania.

The head of state thanked the donors and asked the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection to prepare as efficiently as possible the process of distributing the vaccine to the vaccination centers and to ensure the increase in the number of vaccinated people.

"The vaccine saves lives and any day of procrastination means more patients and more lives lost. We continue to do everything in our power to bring the vaccine to as many people as possible," said Sandu.
