Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/- Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program is recruiting for the first time horticultural experts from the Republic of Moldova to provide voluntary assistance to domestic agricultural producers. So far, all F2F volunteers have been US citizens, but given the COVID-19 pandemic, they are working remotely with local experts.
Firstly, Moldovan volunteers will work with US experts to develop three guides on topics related to organic production in both greenhouses and open field.
To work in F2F, Moldovan experts must have higher specialized education and experience working with farmers, especially in organic farming and skills in developing information and infographic materials etc.
The John Ogonowski and Doug Bereuter Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program is implemented in our country by CNFA (Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture) Moldova with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
F2F provides free agricultural advice to promote sustainable improvements in food security and agricultural processing, production and marketing of agricultural production. CNFA is a USAID-funded organization that supports the economic development of agro-industries in transition countries. The aim of the F2F project is to generate rapid economic growth in the agricultural sector.
