Prosecutor's office presents details about requests to lift immunity of MPs

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/- The General Prosecutor's Office issued a statement today motivating the requests for lifting the parliamentary immunity of two MPs.

Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo requested today the approval of the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of two MPs. He presented the arguments confirming the illegality of the actions of the two deputies.

"Regarding one of them, prosecutors have accumulated relevant evidence of involvement in bank fraud,", the release reads.

Another MP allegedly had committed “abuse of office”, in especially large proportions, in the interest of an organized criminal group and to the detriment of the interests of Chisinau International Airport, which was in concession.
