Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/- MPs today voted in first reading on a bill on possibility to deliver medicines and parapharmaceuticals at home.
The initiative belongs to lawmakers of For Moldova platform and Shor Party given critical situation in the medical system in Moldova.
"Given that people suffering from COVID-19 are required to stay in isolation, access to medicines is limited. This is especially the case for people living alone, the elderly, who cannot go to pharmacies to procure what is needed to treat the COVID-19 virus and have no one to ask for help,” said MP Ruxanda Glavan, who is also one of the authors of the project.
The amendment of the legislation will guarantee all persons access to medicines, offering the possibility to purchase them at home.
To become law, the draft is to be approved in the second reading.
