North Moldova boosts relations with regional structures from Belarus

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The boosting of the investment, commercial and economic cooperation relations between Moldova and Belarus was the goal of a 18 March online meeting organized by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), in partnership with branches from the North Development Region of Moldova’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the Mogilev Regional Development Agency from Belarus. This is the first Moldovan-Belarusian meeting of this kind, organized by ADR Nord and its partners.
The agenda of the Moldovan-Belarusian meeting, which brought together over 60 participants, was focused on setting forth prospects of investment, commercial and economic cooperation between the business environment of the North Development Region of Moldova and the one from the Mogilev Region, as well as on the fostering of inter-regional connections between representatives of the entrepreneurial environment. The participants in the event had possibility to present their economic profiles. Subsequently, ADR Nord and ADR Mogilev are to facilitate the subsequent business connections between the sides interested.
To familiarize entrepreneurs from north Moldova with Belarusian goods and services, six companies with export potential from the Mogilev region presented online their work and products in such sectors as the heavy industry, medical industry, agricultural technology, nourishment, etc. For their part, five Moldovan companies displayed online their economic profiles and products, such as agricultural technology, alcoholic drinks, nourishment, textiles, etc.
In 2020, the trade exchanges from Moldova and Belarus amounted to about 180 million dollars, up by 15 per cent against the year before.
