As many as 1,635 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,072 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,635 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which seven import ones. As many as 214,203 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 62 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 17, medical assistants –20 and auxiliary staff -25.

As many as 4,478 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 344 are in extremely serious condition (72 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,779 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,036 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,669 people have been treated. As many as 186,774 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 30 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,531 people have died of coronavirus in all.
