As many as 831 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,602 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 831 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 215,034 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 30 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 4, medical assistants –12 and auxiliary staff -14.

As many as 4,574 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 340 are in extremely serious condition (70 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 12,117 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,189 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,589 people have been treated. As many as 188,363 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 28 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,559 people have died of coronavirus in all.
