Pandemic situation remains tense in Chisinau

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/- In Chisinau, a total number of 95 thousand inhabitants were infected with coronavirus, pandemic situation remains tense.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at an online meeting of the municipal services that the pandemic situation remains tense. "Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, a number of about 95 thousand inhabitants have been ill with COVID-19, and the number of diseases is growing at an alarming rate," Bucearschi said.

According to the official, 1,360 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in municipal health institutions. "The number of serious and very serious cases is increasing. There were 62 very serious cases, 614 serious cases and 672 average cases ", Bucearschi said.

At the same time, the official said that 70 percent of the medical staff working in the medical institutions in the capital were vaccinated against COVID.
