Global Money Week starts in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/- Global Money Week started today in the Republic of Moldova. The event promoted for several years by the National Bank of Moldova as national coordinator of the education process was joined by authorities, institutions and associations with various activity profiles.
"Financial education reflects a public interest and development of this process at different levels and for various target groups, with the involvement of authorities and civil society confirms a reality of the modern world in continuous and rapid change," BNM governor Octavian Armașu said at the opening of the event.
The official noted that financial education offers free advice to the entire population on how to make efficient use of personal financial resources, save and possibly invest based on well-thought-out financial decisions and achieve encouraging financial results.
On 22-26 March, BNM will organize a lot of activities, including Moldova Banking Hub - financial education platform for pupils, students and teachers, as well as the information and public awareness campaign on security of cashless payments, loans, investments etc. There will also be training courses for future journalists, as well as workshops for general public. At the same time, virtual visits will be organized in the BNM exhibition hall.
The National Bank of Moldova joins Global Money Week every year, attended by 175 countries.
