As many as 2,273 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,070 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 2,273 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which eight import ones. As many as 219,988 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 63 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 10, medical assistants –31 and auxiliary staff -22.

As many as 4,448 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 341 are in extremely serious condition (61 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,638 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 20,974 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,932 people have been treated. As many as 193,562 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 39 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,661 people have died of coronavirus in all.
