Moldova's Official Journal to publish periods, zones of prohibition of fishing in 2021

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) on 26 March will publish an order by the Environment Agency on the periods and zones of prohibition of fishing in the natural fishing water basins in 2021.
Under the document, the periods and zones of the sports, amateur and leisure fishing are established for all species of hydrobionts in the natural fishing water basins, as follows: during 75 consecutive days as of 1 April till 14 June 2021 inclusively, on the Dniester river on the segment from the Naslavcea village up to the Camenca town; in the Dubasari reservoir; in the Dniester river on the segments from the dam of the Dubasari hydro power station up to the Palanca village (28 km) and on the Turunciuc river arm; in the Cahul lake.
Also, the fishing is banned during 75 days in a row, as of 1 April till 14 June 2021 inclusively, on the Prut river, from the latter’s intersection with Moldova’s northern border with Ukraine up to the Tetcani village; in the Stanca-Costesti reservoir; on Prut river on the segment on the dam of the hydro-technical knot Stanca-Costesti up to the Giurgiulesti village.
According to the provisions of the law on the protection of the environment, the Inspectorate for the Environmental Protection is in charge of the control over the observance of the provisions of the present order. The order enters into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal.
