Moldovan acting PM meets British envoy

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/- Acting Premier Aureliu Ciocoi met today Steven Fisher, ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Chisinau. The officials spoke about the actions due to be taken by Moldova and the United Kingdom following the signing in December 2020 of the Strategic Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement, the MAEIE press service has reported.
The Moldovan-British bilateral agreement reproduces the effects of the current provisions of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA).
Ciocoi pointed out the importance of the political and strategic dialogue platform between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries, the first round of which will take place in the near future.
The sides opted for strengthening the high-level bilateral dialogue, and addressed a number of priority issues on the common Moldovan-British agenda: regional situation, Transnistrian conflict settlement, cooperation on a European dimension and in multilateral organizations.
