Moldovan MPs adopt declaration on disagreement to dissolve parliament

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/- MPs today voted a declaration on disagreement to dissolve parliament. A number of 54 lawmakers voted to adopt the document.
The text of the declaration reads: “We, MPs of the Moldovan Parliament, based on the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova,the Decision of the Constitutional Court No10 of 22 March 2021 and No6 of 23 February 2021, as well as the constant jurisprudence of the Court in swearing in office of government, we want to express our disagreement with the dissolution of the parliament, given that the constitutional ways for unblocking the political crisis for swearing in office of the government have not been exhausted ”.
The document reads "noting the urgent need to swear in office a government able to solve the pandemic crisis, we declare on consolidating all efforts to avoid the institutional deadlock ”.
Opposition MPs criticized the document and did not vote for its adoption.
