EU, World Health Organization donate last generation medical equipment to Transnistrian region

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The last generation medical equipment for COVID-19 patients, donated by EU and the World Health Organization (WHO) to Moldova, has reached the Transnistrian region too.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, 20 oxygen concentrators and materials for their maintenance, as well as 100 pulse oximeters, which are part of the consignment of assistance provided to Moldova, were delivered to hospitals from the Transnistrian region.
The medical equipment was provided to Moldova due to a financial and technical support of the European Union and the WHO Regional Office for Europe within a joint project United for Health – an initiative of combating the COVID-19 pandemic in the Eastern Partnership countries.
The medical institutions from the Transnistrian region have earlier received also individual protection equipment as humanitarian assistance: medical masks, respirators, protection spectacles and coats, anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses, etc.
