Village from south Moldova Gagauz autonomy receives donation in flour from Turkey

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Cismichioi village from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia has received a donation in 50 tons of flour from Turkey, which will be used on charity purposes, according to the regional media.

The batch of flour was provided due to the support by the Gölbaşı mayoralty of the Ankara city, a settlement which established twinning relations with the Cismichioi village.

„Fifty tons of high quality flour will be directed to support the social programme on supply with bread of pensioners, other disadvantaged categories of the population,’’ the website www.gagauzinfo.md quotes the official site of the village.

The Cismichioi mayor, Sofia Jecova, thanked the authorities of the Gölbaşı town for the support and assistance provided in the complicated conditions of pandemic crisis.

As a result, due to the support from Turkey, the first-degree invalids and the families with many children will benefit from social bread.
