CNESP comes up with recommendations on carrying out activities of religious cults during emergency state in public health sector in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) has issued a Decision on the carrying out of activities of the religious cults during the emergency state in the public health sector, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

So, the religious meetings, the officiating of services and prayers with more people together or in private, of religious services and other traditional religious events will be able to be held inside and/or outside the churches, with the observance of all measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection.

Inside the churches, the access of a limited number of persons is allowed, so that an area of at least 4 square metres is ensured for each person and a safety distance of at least 2 metres between the people participating in the religious activities. The flow of people will be guided, so that the formation of agglomerations is avoided.

At the entrance into the church, the observational sorting will compulsorily be made, the body temperature will be measured and the parishioners will be obliged to hygienize their hands with disinfectants placed in visible and accessible places.

The proper wearing of the protection mask, which is to cover both the nose and the mouth, is compulsory during the stay in the church. Also, the CNESP members recommend the avoiding of the contact and kissing of cult objects, not-allowing the consumption of food products, promoting the greeting between believers and clergymen only by bowing heads, without embraces and the blessing will be received from a distance of at least one metre. The objects and frequent contact surfaces will be disinfected periodically, once in 3-4 hours.

The physical distance of 1.5 metres between people will be observed also in the case of officiating the religious services outdoors.
