As many as 1,866 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,588 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,866 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 213,986 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 40 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 4, medical assistants –16 and auxiliary staff -20.

As many as 4,365 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 352 are in extremely serious condition (66 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,814 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,038 are under supervision at home.

Another 2,065 people have been treated. As many as 197,623 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 43 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,745 people have died of coronavirus in all.
