As many as 1,674 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/- A number of 6,043 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,674 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which ten import ones. As many as 225,660 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 45 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –9, medical assistants –22 and auxiliary staff -14.

As many as 4,417 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 347 are in extremely serious condition (65 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,719 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 21,023 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 2114 people have been treated. As many as 199,737 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 40 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4785 people have died of coronavirus in all.
