As many as 861 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/- A number of 3,090 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 861 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 226,521 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 14 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –4, medical assistants –7 and auxiliary staff -3.

As many as 4,376 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 339 are in extremely serious condition (71 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,400 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 20,936 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 2032 people have been treated. As many as 201,769 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 42 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,827 people have died of coronavirus in all.
