As many as 932 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,106 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 932 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 227,453 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 18 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 5, medical assistants –7 and auxiliary staff -6.

As many as 4,374 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 339 are in extremely serious condition (68 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,327 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 20,842 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,934 people have been treated. As many as 203,703 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 42 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,869 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a 57-year-old physician dentist from Chisinau. As many as 105 medical employees have died because of the Covid-19 infection till present.
