Over 15,000 citizens requested ambulance last week

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/- On 22-28 March, 15,506 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance. 5,927 patients were transported to hospital medical institutions in the country, of which 755 children.

According to the Center, in the top of the requests continue to predominate those caused by respiratory emergencies - 5,048 requests, including 1,646 IRVA, followed by cardiovascular emergencies - 2,874 requests, including 34 patients with acute coronary syndrome and neurological emergencies - 1,812 requests, including 219 strokes.

During the same period, 932 calls were received by the Emergency Service due to various injuries. 35 road accidents were registered, as a result of which 41 people suffered. Subsequently, 35 patients with various injuries were transported to the emergency hospital units for additional medical care.
