As many as 917 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,469 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 917 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 228,370 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 29 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 8, medical assistants –15 and auxiliary staff -6.

As many as 4,288 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 330 are in extremely serious condition (72 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 11,087 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 20,183 are under supervision at home.

Another 2,056 people have been treated. As many as 205,759 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 46 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,915 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a 58-year-old family physician from Chisinau. As many as 106 medical employees have died because of the Covid-19 infection till present.
