Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a decision, thereby asking the parliament to declare state of emergency in Moldova.
The proposals came from Justice Minister Fadei Nagacevschi. He said that no date was indicated in the document as to the period for which the emergency state would be established; this subject will be up to the parliament.
„The emergency state does not see the closing of Moldova’s economy and the measures applied will be in line with the citizens’ bahaviour. Taking into account the character of the acting cabinet, this term is left depending on the evolution of the subsequent pandemic situation,’’ Nagacevschi said.
Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said that the report presented by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission today left no room for manoeuvres and other actions are needed too. ‘’The government has no leverages of restricting the contacts among the residents and I think that this subject must be considered by the parliament,’’ Ciocoi said.
