PM attends General Assembly of Moldova IT Park residents

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/- Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi attended today opening of the General Assembly of Moldova IT Park residents. In his speech, he appreciated the success in entrepreneurial platform in the three years of activity, as well as the impact in boosting and developing national economy, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"The IT sector is permanently in a stormy dynamic, and the educational future belongs to this field. I am proud in the Republic of Moldova we managed to implement a project of such magnitude, which managed to create unprecedented conditions, so that our country becomes an IT technology destination, meeting the demands of the business community. Most importantly we put above all the public interest in digital innovation and creation of conditions for talented young people to have well-paid jobs here in Moldova, at home, "said Aureliu Ciocoi.
The official voiced confidence that Moldova IT Park will remain from now on one of the most important business development platforms in the country, able to draw investments, create jobs and increase export potential of IT products and services on international markets.
"We are able to draw investment in this sector. The 700 companies resident in Moldova IT Park and the 12,000 IT engineers who receive an average monthly salary of 28 thousand lei confirm this. We hope that through joint programs we will be able to attract other important components for the prosperity of the IT industry, such as education and research, support of technological startups, development of our own IT products and their successful promotion globally ", he said.
Ciocoi urged Moldova IT Park residents not to limit to the successes achieved so far, but to continue to make the same effort, so that technological innovation penetrates all sectors of national economy and living standards of citizens to improve.
Moldova IT Park was founded on 1 January 2018 and is a unique model of national success. Currently, the platform hosts 700 companies, of which 150 are with foreign capital.
