National Library stages exhibition of paintings, graphics on old Chisinau

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- An exhibition of paintings and graphics by artists Antonina and Vitalie Grișciuc entitled Hello, Chisinau!, dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the city's first documentary is open at the National Library of Moldova.
Vitalie Grișciuc said that the exhibition includes 35 works, which represent architectural landscapes of ancient Chisinau, executed in different techniques of visual art: oil, acrylic on canvas, watercolor, ink pen, paper engraving.
In this context, the director of the institution, Elena Pintilei said that the old part of any city represents, first of all, memory.
Old Chisinau, situated on a picturesque place, on seven hills, produces a pleasant impression on the inhabitants and guests. "Fine artists Vitalie and Antonina Grișciuc try to immortalize in their creation the historical Chisinau, namely the memory of the past", Pintilei said.
Graduates of prestigious painting schools in the Republic of Moldova and Romania, Vitalie and Antonina Grișciuc have participated, since 1992, in group and solo exhibitions in Moldova, Luxembourg, Japan, Japan, Spain and other countries.
Their works are in public and private collections in many states.
The exhibition will be open until 10 May.
