Parliament decision on declaring state of emergency published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament decision on declaring a state of emergency was published in the Official Journal yesterday.
"A state of emergency is declared in Moldova on 1 April -30 May 2021. During the state of emergency, the Commission for Emergencies will issue orders for the implementation of several measures," the document reads.
Thus, under the decision, the state of emergency provides for the establishment of a special regime of entry and exit from the country; the establishment of a special traffic regime on the territory of the country; the quarantine regime and taking other mandatory anti-epidemic measures; setting a special working regime for all entities; prohibiting to hold meetings, public demonstrations and other mass actions; order, if necessary, the rationalization of the consumption of food and other products of strict necessity.
The provisions of the Commission for Emergencies are binding and enforceable for heads of central and local public administration authorities, economic agents, public institutions, as well as for citizens and other persons in Moldova. All provisions issued by the Commission for Emergencies shall enter into force upon issue.
