As many as 1,515 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 5,988 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,515 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 231,756 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.     

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 22 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 6, medical assistants –9 and auxiliary staff -7.

As many as 4,103 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 320 are in extremely serious condition (68 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 10,411 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 20,228 are under supervision at home.

Another 2,055 people have been treated. As many as 209,907 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 43 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,003 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a physician pharmacist from a Chisinau-based hospital. As many as 108 medical employees have died because of the Covid-19 infection till present.
