Another ten trolley busses assembled at workshop launched on routes in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - Ten trolley buses assembled at the workshop of the Electric Transport Administration (RTEC) today were put on routes in Chisinau. The transport units are of AKSM type and were manufactured at the Minsk-based plant.

Attending the event, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that, through including these trolley buses in movement, the city hall provided the citizens with quality transport, at international standards. The mayor also said that, since early 2021, 20 trolley buses assembled in Chisinau had been launched on route. Thus, the city hall is set to diminish the major risks as to the COVID-19 infection in the public transport units.

The trolley busses from Belarus have air conditioning systems, video supervision ones, as well as USB plugs meant for passengers, for charging electronic devices. Also, the transport units have optic blocks based on LED and mirrors with electric regulation, as well low floor, with retractable platform, for the access of users on wheelchairs.   

According to data by the Chisinau city hall, in the first three months of 2021, five new articulated trolley buses, produced in Belarus, 10 classical AKSM trolley buses, five Solaris articulated trolley buses with distance covered, bought in Riga and 10 classical Skoda trolley buses, with distance covered, were put in circulation on Chisinau streets.       

Also today, the municipal enterprise, the Urban Park of Trolley Buses, informed about a tender on the purchasing of a consignment of buses with distance covered. The announced about the tender was published on the electronic platform www.achizitii.md. The sum provided for the buses is 50 million lei and according to technical specifications, the transport units must fit the classifications EURO 5 and EURO 6, with a length of 9, 12 and 18 metres.  At the same time, letters were sent with the technical information about the buses to more diplomatic missions accredited in Chisinau as to the participation of transport companies due to come up with bids. The bids for the tender can be submitted to the aforementioned electronic platform till 14 April 2021, 17:00.
