Moldovan head of state discusses with members of European Business Association

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a discussion with members of the European Business Association (EBA) in Moldova.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state stressed her priorities in the business sector. The basic priority is the justice reform, which must bring certainty and predictability to the business environment which works in Moldova, provide security of the quality investments, ensure access to a fair justice and a functional rule of law state, where each person can defend his/her rights.
The participants in the discussion said that the business environment was hit by the sanitary crisis, first of all, because of the cut in the domestic consumption and traditional contacts between providers, exporters and importers and the state has the role to provide measures of support if necessary. The head of state said that EBA had sent a string of proposals of the entrepreneurs hit by the pandemic to the government and the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission back on 12 March.
The Moldovan president and the business environment’s representatives reiterated the commitment to observe and promote the provisions of the free trade agreement between Moldova and EU. The participants agreed on continuing the active dialogue for enforcing an as efficient as possible plan on post-Covid economic recovery, in the interest of the society and the business.
