Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - Another 100,000 quick tests of diagnosis for detecting Ag SARSCoV-2 have been distributed to the laboratory of the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) and are to be distributed to the primary and hospital medical assistance. The tests were purchased within the World Bank’s project, Emergency Response to COVID-19 in Moldova.
Data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) shows that the people who have COVID-19 symptoms or who contacted with a confirmed person can make the quick test to the SARS-CoV-2 antigen for free by appealing to the family physician.
The quick testing must be applied in the first three after the beginning of the symptoms. Following this period, the result of the quick test should be ignored, as it might present incorrect results. If the person has COVID-19 symptoms, and the quick test is negative, it is necessary to make the test through the PCR way for confirming the diagnosis.
These types of tests will be used also in the emergency reception units and at the level of the primary medical assistance.
