Three employees of National Philharmonic to be investigated

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- Three employees of Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic will be investigated for "violation of fire protection rules." Prosecutor's Office announced it had completed the criminal investigation and sent the accusation case to court.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, on 24 September 2020, being obliged to take all necessary measures for security protection, including the prevention of occupational hazards, the chief engineer, who was also an engineer for labor protection instructed senior technician and his subordinate to perform work cleaning in the room of the sanitary block No1, as well as cutting the steel pipes.

Therefore, the entire building - an architectural object with protection status, estimated at 5.3 million lei, was destroyed. Also, as a result of the fire, the spaces in the same building were affected, rented by an economic agent, which was damaged by 3.5 million lei.

The defendants are being investigated at large. Being heard by prosecutors, they do not admit their guilt. For this offense, the criminal law provides for a fine or imprisonment of up to two years.
