Business plan 2021 of South Development Region approved

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- The South Regional Development Council (CRD) approved the region's business plan 2021.
According to Anastasia Rusu, head of the planning and cooperation department of the South Regional Development Agency (ADR), this year, in the south of the country, the implementation of three projects financed from the National Regional Development Fund (FNDR), previously launched, will continue.
"At the same time, the Agency will continue the implementation of four projects funded by the European Union, through the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ) Moldova). Also, implementation of the project Revival of authentic folk crafts - common cultural heritage as a focal point for sustainable economic and tourist development will be continued," the source said.
Among the activities planned by ADR Sud in 2021 are elaboration and approval of the Regional Operational Program 2021-2023, elaboration of three financing applications submitted within the project competition funded by FNDR for 2021-2023. CRD Sud members also approved the composition of the working group on the elaboration of the Regional Operational Program for 2021-2023.
For his part, Igor Malai, department head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, pointed out the importance of implementing in the Southern Region the National Program for the development of cities-growth poles in the Republic of Moldova 2021-2027, approved by government decision.
CRD Sud is the deliberative regional structure, without legal personality, established at the level of the Southern Development Region to develop, coordinate and monitor the regional development policy in the area, consisting of Basarabeasca, Cantemir, Cahul, Causeni, Cimislia, Leova , Ștefan Vodă and Taraclia.
