Road segment in south Moldova built at level of 45 per cent

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - The construction of 19 km of road – part of the M3 national road Porumbrei-Cimislia - registers a progress of works’ carrying out of 45 per cent. The segment is to be finished in January 2022, the State Administration of Roads’ (ASD) has reported.
At a visit to the construction site, ASD representatives today monitored the carrying out of more works.
The road segment, under construction, crosses the Cimislia town, the villages Iurievca, Porumbrei, Sagaidac, Gradiste, Costangalia from the Cimislia district. ‘’The contract provides for the building of the new road with layer of asphalt concrete, restoration of a bridge from nearby the Porumbrei village, construction of another seven bridges, 19 small bridges and drainage canals, setting of over 1,000 road signs and applying the proper road marking,’’ ASD said.
The project on construction of the road in this region has the goal to release the local roads from the traffic of high-tonnage vehicles, shorten the time for movement of drivers, ensure the road movement in conditions of safety and comfort.
The process of construction of the road with two lanes is carried out from a loan worth 30 million euros, provided by the European Investment Bank.
